BROOK HILL – Brook Hill logged a 10-0 non-district victory over Shreveport Word of God Academy Monday afternoon in Bullard.
The Lady Guard (14-1-1) needed just five frames to run rule the visitors from the Bayou State.
Ava Pitts pitched a complete game and earned the win in the circle for Brook Hill.
She allowed one hit, struck out 11 and walked one.
Blair Brister and Allyson Mathews each went 3-3 at the plate to lead Brook Hill.
Brister and Madison Abston clubbed a pair of doubles and drove in two runs apiece.
Abston had two hits in three official trips to the plate.
Julianna Mize also belted a double as a part of Brook Hill’s 11-hit attack.
The Lady Guard extended its winning streak to 13 games with its latest victory.
In its last seven games, Brook Hill has outscored the opposition 123-1.
At 5:30 p.m. Friday the Lady Guard will visit Malakoff.
