WHITE OAK – White Oak scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning and the Lady Necks went on to down visiting Troup 6-2 Tuesday.

White Oak added a trio of insurance runs in the sixth inning.

Troup (14-15, 7-3) led 2-1 going into the second inning.

Leading hitters for the Lady Tigers were Lili Priest (2-3, double, 2 RBI), Olivia Anderson (3-4, double) and London Driggers (single).

White Oak was led offensively by Emma Fisher (2-4, triple, 3 RBI).

Each team recorded eight hits in the game.

Ashlynn Dowdle pitched a complete game for Troup. She gave up four earned runs, walked two and fanned five.

Abby Young went the distance in the circle for the Lady Necks (28-2, 10-0) and was the winning pitcher.

The Lady Necks are in first place in the conference standings, while the Lady Tigers are in third place.
