Logan Webb usually lets his right arm do the talking, but the Giants ace is ready to try something different.
Sirius XM’s MLB Network Radio announced Thursday the launch of “Logan’s Webb,” a new show featuring Webb as host alongside former MLB player Ryan Spilborghs, set to debut Friday.
In Thursday’s press release, Sirius XM told fans to expect “a unique, inside look at the game from one of baseball’s top pitchers. Across each episode, Webb will share insights from the field, the clubhouse, and life beyond the ballpark — offering a perspective only an active player can.”
“I’m thrilled to be hosting my first show and excited to connect with baseball fans around the country on SiriusXM,” Webb said in the same release. “This will be a fun opportunity for me to bring our listeners inside this game we all love. I’m also looking forward to having some of my Giants teammates on the show with me and sharing firsthand what we see and experience over the course of our season.”
Webb is plenty comfortable in front of a microphone, winning the 2024 Bill Rigney Good Guy Award from the San Francisco chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America for his graciousness with the media.
Webb, in his eighth season with the Giants, also showed his on-air chops when he appeared as a guest on Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts’ podcast, “On Base with Mookie Betts”.
Webb is the latest Bay Area star athlete to try his hand at the media game, joining the Warriors’ Draymond Green and the 49ers’ George Kittle.
“Logan’s Webb” debuts Friday at 2 p.m. on Sirius XM’s MLB Network Radio.
