The 2026 Braves have started strong with an 8-5 record and the best ERA in baseball, navigating a demanding 13-game opening stretch despite early injury concerns within the pitching staff.

As WGXA has previously reported, 2026 marks the Braves’ 60th year in Atlanta, and Macon plays a role in Braves history.

From 1991 to 2002, Macon served as a vital development hub for the Atlanta Braves by hosting the Single-A Macon Braves, which was the training ground for future legends like Chipper and Andruw Jones.
