MLB Social Media Reacts To Winquest Decision

Here’s what people were saying on social media:

@joevallyanks: “So they essentially pitched one man short in the bullpen”

@Cole_Cianciola: “Couldn’t at least give him a chance?”

Ryan Garcia: “Cade Winquest was someone I had high hopes for. He didn’t see any velocity gains when his role contracted from SP to RP during ST and I felt like the secondaries were underwhelming. Miss.”

@cai_rogers7: “Interesting tenure for Winquest with the Yankees. Team had high hopes for him in camp, even breaking camp with the team despite mixed results in ST. Winquest never ended up making his MLB debut for the Yanks, even after warming up in the bullpen on a couple occasions”

@jhonguarin25: “One of the dumbest things I’ve seen haha complete waste of a bullpen spot”

@Gutt_Feeling: “lmao. I honestly feel bad for the kid. What a waste of everyone’s time”

@MattyT11Jazz13: “I would have liked to see what he had”

@BarstoolHubbs: “??? What a bizarre story. He warmed up like 6 different times so far this season all to never get put in the game, now he’s done.”

@BronxBomberBall: “Cade Winquest DFA’d for Luis Gil. Lmao. Why even bother carrying him into the regular season if you refuse to play him, thereby going the first 12 games one man down the entire time?”
