The White Sox opened this four-game series with a 2-0 win before the Royals won the next two games, also by scores of 2-0. On Saturday night, Erick Fedde dropped to 0-3 on the season after taking the loss on the mound following five innings of work in which he threw four strikeouts and only gave up one earned run on three hits. While the pitching staff only gave up four hits on the night against the Royals, the offense only produced four hits, as well, making it difficult to compete.

The Royals were led offensively by Maikel Garcia who went 2-for-4 with one RBI and two runs. Garcia opened the scoring with a solo shot to left center to make it a 1-0 game in the bottom of the first. Garcia was plated in the bottom of the eighth with a sacrifice fly from the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino to left field. Michael Wacha improved to 2-0 on the season, going eight innings with seven strikeouts before Lucas Erceg came in to earn the save, striking out one batter in one inning of work.

On Sunday afternoon, the Royals will look to left-handed pitcher Noah Cameron who is currently 1-0 with an ERA of 1.69 and 10 strikeouts so far. The White Sox will counter with Grant Taylor, a right-hander who is 0-0 with an ERA of 1.42 and has eight strikeouts to his name.
