The Blue Jays selected the contract of OF Eloy Jiménez from Triple-A Buffalo.

Jimenez gets his first opportunity in the majors with George Springer being placed on the injured list. He is coming off a strong showing in spring training. He is batting seventh and serving as the designated hitter in his first game up on Sunday.
