On Sunday afternoon, the New York Yankees will play the final game of their series against the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida.

The Yankees have lost each of the first two, and are coming off a 5-4 loss in the 10th inning (on Saturday).

Aaron Judge finished Saturday with no hits, two walks, one stolen base and one strikeout in three at-bats.

UPDATE: The Yankees lost 5-4. 

For Sunday’s game, the Yankees have announced that Judge will be the DH.

The 33-year-old had been in right field for each of the first 14 games.

Judge has gotten off to a slow start to the 2026 season.

The three-time MVP is batting .212 with three home runs, seven RBI’s, ten runs, three stolen bases and 18 strikeouts in his first 14 games.

Matthew Nethercott of LastWordOnSports Inc wrote: “—Cam Schlittler gets his third career start against the Rays (0-1, 2.45) —Stanton on the bench (as expected), Judge at DH, Grichuk (0-10 this season) in RF —New York looks to avoid being swept for the first time in 2026”

The Yankees are in the middle of a four-game losing streak dating back to their series (at home) with the Athletics.

That said, they are still the first-place team in the American League East with an 8-6 record in 14 games.

On the road, the Yankees have gone 5-3 away from the Bronx.

After their series in Tampa Bay, the Yankees will head home to host the Los Angeles Angels (four games) and Kansas City Royals (three games).

They will then go to Fenway Park for their first series of the year with the Boston Red Sox (on April 21.).
