According to his MLB.com transaction log, Austin Voth has signed a minor league contract with the AL East club for the second time in less than a month.
The 33-year-old was designated for assignment after making one appearance out of the bullpen, allowing one earned run on three hits against the Chicago White Sox.
“Voth mixed six pitches in his lone MLB appearance for the Blue Jays,” Anthony Franco of MLB Trade Rumors wrote Tuesday. “He sat around 91 mph with his four-seam fastball and sinker while leaning most heavily on his cutter.”

It was Voth’s first Major League outing since 2024. In 2025, he played in Japan for Nippon Professional Baseball’s Chiba Lotte Marines. He made 22 starts and posted a 3.96 ERA in 125 innings.
With all the injuries to Toronto’s pitching staff, they’ll need as many innings from middle relief arms as they can get. Left-hander Josh Fleming also re-signed with the Blue Jays over the weekend.
