The Pirates now sit at 12-8 on the season and are in a first-place tie with the Cincinnati Reds in the NL Central. They are a half-game up on both the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. The Pirates will now turn to Paul Skenes as they try to clinch a series win. Skenes comes into Saturday 3-1 with a 4.00 ERA. He had a tough first start, but has been great in his last three outings. He has given up just three combined runs in those three games and is coming off a six-inning start against the Washington Nationals.
