WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawks and Coastal Carolina meet for the only time this season on Tuesday with a 6 p.m. start at Brooks Field.

The Seahawks will have two non-conference games remaining on the schedule after Tuesday, with High Point on May 5 and nationally-ranked North Carolina on May 12.

UNCW dropped its conference series to visiting Hofstra last weekend as the Pride won the rubber match, 6-5, on Sunday. HU struck for three runs with two outs in the top of the ninth to erase a 4-3 deficit.

The Chanticleers won their series against Georgia State and remained four games ahead of Southern Miss for the Sun Belt Conference lead. The Chants are ranked as high as ninth in the national polls entering this week.

UNCW junior Cooper Allen was recognized as the CAA Pitcher of the Week for a third time on Monday. The righthander tossed a four-hit shutout against Hofstra while striking out a career-high 11.

The Seahawks return to the road and conference play on Friday when they open a three-game series at 6 p.m. against Elon.
