The Miami Marlins ended the St. Louis Cardinals’ five-game winning streak Monday night with a 5-3 victory.

Agustín Ramírez homered, and Max Meyer turned in a strong outing, allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings while striking out eight.

St. Louis took an early 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on Masyn Winn’s sacrifice fly, extending Jordan Walker’s hitting streak to 15 games after his single earlier in the frame.

Miami answered in the bottom half and took the lead for good with a pair of runs in the sixth inning. Otto Lopez and Liam Hicks each drove in runs during the rally, and the Marlins added an insurance run in the eighth.

Michael McGreevy took the loss for St. Louis, allowing four runs over 5 2/3 innings.

Pete Fairbanks closed out the game for his fourth save, despite allowing a run in the ninth.

The Cardinals will try to bounce back Tuesday as Dustin May is scheduled to start against Miami’s Chris Paddack.
