Toledo had the winning run on base in the ninth, but a flyout ended the game.

Quoting Head Coach Rob Reinstetle
“Really disappointed with that game. After playing so well on Sunday and getting some life in us, we came out today and did nothing. We hit the ball okay but not good enough to win. We didn’t pitch very well early and were always playing from behind. We get another crack at these guys tomorrow at their place. We’ve got another opportunity to play good baseball and feel good about ourselves heading into a MAC weekend versus our rivals.”
