VESTAL, NY (WBNG) – Cornell defeated Binghamton 10-6 on Tuesday in college baseball action.
Trent Lopez hit a three-run home run for the Big Red in the top of the fourth inning to extend Cornell’s lead to 9-3.
Binghamton responded in the bottom of the fourth. Matt Bolton hit a single through the middle that the Cornell infield could not reach, bringing home Tim Hennig and Zack Kent to cut the deficit to 9-5.
Steven Krause then hit a ball into the gap in left center field. Bolton scored from second base, pulling the Bearcats within three runs in the fourth inning.
Cornell added a run in the ninth inning to secure the victory.
