BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — Jackson Holliday’s recovery from hamate surgery hit another snag.
The Orioles’ second baseman was removed from his rehabilitation game with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday after experiencing right hand discomfort, the club announced. He was in his first game back with Norfolk after wrist soreness forced the Orioles to put his rehab assignment on hold last week.
Manager Craig Albernaz said after the club’s 6-5 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night that Holliday would return to Baltimore and undergo an MRI.
“Jackson came out of the game, we’re getting him up to Baltimore and getting an MRI,” Albernaz said. “Precautionary. We want to see what we’re working with, if there’s anything there at all, and kind of reassess from there.”
