The Stoughton baseball team stopped a seven-game losing skid with a 9-6 nonconference win over Big Foot on Friday, April 24, at Big Foot High School.

Sauk Prairie plated seven runs in the sixth inning as the Eagles pulled away from Stoughton to earn a 10-0 Badger Small Conference win over the Vikings on Thursday, April 23, at Jaycee Park.

Stoughton had a three-run lead slip away in a 9-4 loss to Sauk Prairie in a conference game on Tuesday, April 21, at Stoughton High School.

Stoughton 9, Big Foot 6

Jaxson Nielsen and Givon Storkson both scored two runs and had one RBI each. Reign Altenburg drove in a team-high two runs. Oliver Pietruszynski finished 2-for-4 with a run.

Tate Schneider earned the start and gave up one earned run on two hits in three innings. He also added five strikeouts. In two innings, Storkson allowed no runs on one hit with two strikeouts. Nielsen and Altenburg both tossed an inning in relief.

Stoughton (2-7, 0-5 Badger Small) jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never trailed in the win.

Sauk Prairie 10, Stoughton 0

Up 3-0, Sauk Prairie broke the game open with seven runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Eagles held the Vikings to just one hit. Saxton Wiest pitched 4 â…” and allowed three earned runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts for Stoughton.

Sauk Prairie 9, Stoughton 4

The Vikings led 4-1 after three innings, but the Eagles rallied with four runs in the top of the fourth. Sauk Prairie led 5-4 until adding four more runs in the top of the seventh.

Colyn Kotlowski and Piertruszynski both finished with two hits. Alex Reuter had one hit and added a team-high two RBIs. Reuter pitched five innings and allowed three earned runs on six hits.
