ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley traded in his bat for an iron Monday as he hosted the Aflac Charity Golf Tournament at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
Proceeds from the event went to The Warrior Alliance, a veterans organization in Cobb County that helps improve the quality of life for service members.
“This whole day, we obviously get to play golf. We get to hang out with some incredible people and play an unbelievable golf course, but I think at the end of the day it’s about our military and our veterans and the wellness of them,” Riley said.
The tournament has raised more than $500,000.
