HAMILTON, Ill. — For the second straight day, Illini West’s offense reached double digit runs.

The Chargers kept the momentum going to earn a 10-0 win over West Hancock, punching in four runs in the sixth inning to run-rule the Titans after shutting them down in the bottom half.

Chargers starting pitcher Ethan Carlisle improved his record to 6-1 after throwing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

Max Kinnamon came in to pitch four scoreless innings in relief with 10 strikeouts to finish out the game for Illini West.

Illini West leadoff hitter Carter Chapin went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, three runs and two stolen bases.

Chargers shortstop Wes Robertson went 2-for-3 with an RBI, two stolen bases and two runs, while center fielder Nick Johnson went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.

Illini West left fielder Grady Blue went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two stolen bases, while right fielder Stephen Sparks went 1-for-4 with a double, run and two RBIs.

Juris Pohren got the start on the mound for the Titans and was the losing pitcher.

Up next for West Hancock (3-15) is a home game against Quincy Notre Dame (16-7) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a home game against Macomb (12-13) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
