ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Multiple cars were broken into during the St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium Friday evening.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police, the department received several calls regarding car break-ins.
While police do not have an exact number of cars affected, they say officers are monitoring the reports.
The police are asking for help from the public and are asking anyone who had their car broken into or had items taken to report it to the police.
“These reports help us identify patterns, allocate resources effectively, and hold those responsible accountable,” said Mitch McCoy, Director of Public Affairs for SLMPD, in a statement to First Alert 4.
Additionally, police encourage residents to take precautions such as locking doors, removing valuables from plain view and parking in well-lit areas whenever possible.
