The No, 2 seed Florida Gators (38-21) will need to win four straight games, beginning Saturday against the Stags, to advance to the Super Regionals. No. 4 seed Fairfield lost 10-2 to top seed Coastal Carolina on May 30.

With its season on the line, UF is expected to turn to freshman righty Aidan King (6-2, 2.76 ERA), who has allowed just one earned run over his last 13 1/3 innings pitched.
Florida is looking to bounce back from an 11-6 loss to East Carolina on May 30. The Gators were unable to rally back from an early 9-0 deficit and used seven different pitchers in the loss. Florida sophomore righty Liam Peterson (8-4) took the loss for UF, allowing four runs (two earned) over 1 1/3 innings against the Pirates.
“We didn’t get off to a good start on the mound,” Florida baseball coach Kevin O’Sullivan said. “I had to go visit the mound in the first. Had to go to the bullpen in the second. I didn’t see this coming. We had been playing so well.”
