CHICAGO — Gabriel Moreno’s first home run of the year gave the Diamondbacks an early advantage, but the Chicago Cubs have gone to work against right-hander Merrill Kelly and have a 3-2 lead after four innings at Wrigley Field.

Moreno, playing in his second game since coming off the injured list, launched a two-run homer in the top of the second inning.

But the Cubs gone a run back in the bottom of the inning and took the lead in the third.

In the bottom of the second, the Cubs got a two-out double by Michael Busch on a high popup that fell in shallow center field. The ball hit off the arm of a sliding Jorge Barrosa in center field. Carson Kelly followed with a run-scoring, opposite-field single.

An inning later, Nico Hoerner grounded an infield single to short, then scored on Moises Ballesteros’ opposite-field, two-run homer.

Kelly has allowed three runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts entering the fifth.
