Weather has changed the time for the Detroit Tigers‘ game against the Boston Red Sox on Monday, May 4, at Comerica Park.
The Tigers moved up first pitch by 30 minutes for the opener of their three-game series, beginning at 6:10 p.m. (rather than 6:40 p.m.) due to rain in the forecast in Detroit.
There was another announcement.
Left-hander Tarik Skubal – the reigning two-time American League Cy Young winner – was scratched from Monday’s start. The 29-year-old needs surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow. There isn’t a timeline for his return, but he is expected to return at some point in the 2026 season.
