Jeff Passan reported that Tarik Skubal, division rival of the Cleveland Guardians with the Detroit, Tigers, will undergo surgery to remove, quote, “loose bodies” in his left elbow.

Gross.

He’s, expected to be out for the next two to three months.

In your opinion, how could that affect this division?

I mean, it, it could blow the division open potentially.

I mean, Tarik Skubal’s one of those players that you just go to a game to watch pitch because he is that good.

there’s a lot of respect between these two organizations, and Stephen Vogt actually talked about it yesterday.

Tarik Skubal is not only one of the best pitchers in the game, but he’s one of the best people, and I think we saw that last year after he ended up hitting David Fry in the face with a pitch.

He went to the hospital during a, a, during a major series with the Guardians to go make sure that a player on Cleveland was okay.

That just shows the type of person he is.

So it is a huge loss for Major League Baseball as a whole.

Anytime you lose a name, a face of the league like, like Tarik Skubal for potentially two to three months.

so I think everyone around this organization is wishing him the best, but it really is an opportunity, for this AL Central that is kind of a logjam right now with the, with the Tigers and the Guardians at the top.

Cleveland I’m in Kansas City right now.

They’re playing the Royals, and the Royals are creeping up right behind them, so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

But it, it’s certainly going to have an impact, obviously, with Skubal being just one of the, the faces of the league right now, but also one of the best pitchers as, as well.
