On Saturday, the Chicago White Sox will continue their series with the Seattle Mariners (at home).
They are coming off a 12-8 loss on Friday.
Andrew Benintendi finished the loss with one hit, one run and one strikeout in four at-bats.

For Saturday’s game, the White Sox have announced that Benintendi has been scratched from the lineup with an injury.
The White Sox wrote (via X): “Andrew Benintendi scratched due to neck stiffness.”
Benintendi is currently batting .235 with 27 hits, two home runs, 17 RBI’s and 12 runs in his first 36 games of the 2026 MLB season.

Benintendi’s MLB Career

Benintendi was the seventh pick in the 2015 MLB Draft.
He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Boston Red Sox, helping lead the franchise to the 2018 World Series Championship.
Following Boston, Benintendi had quick stints with the Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees.
The 31-year-old made his only All-Star Game in 2022 (with Kansas City).

Benintendi has been with the White Sox for the last four years.
Over 1,183 career games, he is batting .266 with 1,162 hits, 120 home runs, 573 RBI’s, 587 runs and 86 stolen bases.

The White Sox come into Saturday as the fourth-place team in the American League Central with a 17-21 record in 38 games.
They are 7-9 in the 16 games they have played at Rate Field in Chicago.
Following two more games against the Mariners, the White Sox will remain at home to host the Royals on Tuesday.
