The 28-year-old cleared waivers and elected free agency after San Francisco‘s decision.
Today, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR reports that the Dominican Republic native is drawing interest from several Major League and Nippon Professional Baseball clubs in Japan.
“Several MLB teams have shown interest in outfielder Jerar Encarnacion,” Romero wrote on X. “There are also three NPB teams interested in the 28-year-old. Encarnacion spent time with the San Francisco Giants from 2024 to 2026 and elected free agency on Sunday.”
Encarnacion signed with the Giants in 2024 after he enjoyed an incredible hitting stretch during a 26-game stint with the Mexican League’s Guerreros de Oaxaca.
