BROOKVILLE — The Brookville Area Little League announced the opening of hits new batting cage that sits beyond the left-field fence of McKinley Field at the Little League complex.
The facility is open and available for use.

TUESDAY, May 12
JUNIOR LITTLE LEAGUE
Hoak Insurance 5, A&M Restaurant/Bazylak Law 1 — Breaking a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh, Hoak’s scored four runs to get by A&M Bazylak. Jayden Shaffer singled in two runs in the rally. Seth Welsh and BrantLee Burney both hit two singles. Calin Carberry, Harris Whitling and Welch combined to get the win on the mound with Welsh getting the decision after going the final 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Landon Ankeny and Kabe Kaltenbach had the only hits for A&M/Bazylak.
LITTLE LEAGUE
Buff’s Ice Cream & Lunch 12, Galbraith’s Cleaning & Property Maintenance 6 — Sawyer Lewis and Aiden Rafferty combined to strike out 15 batters and give up six hits with four walks as Lewis whiffed 10 in four innings. Lewis singld twice and scored three runs while Rafferty doubled and scored three times. Noah Cassett doubled and singled and scored two runs while Nolan Donlin doubled and scored twice. Jase Rowan tripled.
Elite Heating & Air 17, McQuown Tire & Auto 9 — Scoring eight runs in the top of the third and leading 12-7 after three innings, Elite pulled away for a win over McQuown’s. Porter Hetrick went 4-for-4 with a double and four runs scored. Jonah Masters had three hits. Parker Means, Ben Gallagher and Hetrick combined to strike out eight and walk four. Blake Berfield and Tyler McQuown had two hits apiece for McQuown’s. McQuown, Maddox Lindemuth and Berfied combined to strike out 10 and walk six.
MONDAY, May 11
JUNIOR SOFTBALL
Beechwoods 18, Brookville Equipment 12 — Visiting Beechwoods scored in every inning in a six-inning win over Brookville Equipment. Baelyn Stewart went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and four runs batted in while Nari Nanzo had two hits with a double. Hannah Phillips ripped an inside-the-park home run. Manzo, Chloe London and Stewart combined to strike out 16 batters and walk 17.
LITTLE LEAGUE
Buff’s 9, Elite 8 — In a nine-inning thriller, it was Buff’s scoring three runs in the top of the ninth then Elite plating two runs in the bottom before its rally was stopped. Four Buff’s pitchers combined for 17 strikeouts — Tyson Bair, Conner Wykoff, Sawyer Lewis and Caleb London — with London getting the win in relief as he threw the final three innings with five strikeouts. Lewis and Aiden Rafferty both had two hits with two doubles. Six pitchers combined to strike out 15 for Elite. Porter Hetrick struck out five in his two innings of work. Parker Means and Sawyer Smith had two hits for Elite, which led 5-1 after the first inning
Galbraith’s 10, McQuown Tire & Auto 5 — A five-run third inning sparked Galbraith’s past McQuown’s as Walker Lindermuth doubled twice and scored three runs while driving in two more. Jack Conti doubled. On the mound, Conti, Noah Cassett, Austin King and Jase Rowan combined for 12 strikeouts with just one walk as Conti whiffed six in three innings. McQuown’s got two hits apiece from Grayson Zimmerman and Tyler McQuown. Zimmerman and Xavier Davies combined to strike out nine and walk seven.
THURSDAY, May 7
JUNIOR SOFTBALL
Brookville Equipment 16, Bev-Air 1 — In a five-inning win over Bev-Air, Brookville Equipment scored in every inning as Nari Manzo finished with three hits, including a double, and Avery Crooks had two with four runs batted in to go with her two doubles. Chloe London and Abby Rush hit doubles. London and Baelyn Stewart combined to strike out 13 batters and walk five in their three-hitter. For Bev-Air, Cora Kunselman, Ellie Lewis and Ainsley Straitiff hit singles. Addy Straitiff and Lewis combined to strike out seven.
LITTLE LEAGUE
Galbraith’s 10, McQuown Tire & Auto 1 — A seven-run fifth inning put the game away for Galbraith’s against McQuown’s. Walker Lindermuth homered and singled, driving in three runs while Jack Conti doubled and drove in three. On the mound, Jase Rowan, Nolan Donlin and Archer Galbraith combined to strike out eight and walk three in a five-hitter. For McQuown’s, Adam Pangallo and Bryson Hammond doubled and Tyler McQuown tripled. Pitchers McQuown, Hammond, Blake Berfield and John Park combined to strike out seven and walk six.

JUNIOR LITTLE LEAGUE
Spitzer Chevy 9, A&M/Bazylak 1 — A&M/Bazylak was no-hitted in a six-inning contest. Chase Hetrick, Kabe Kaltenbach and Landon Ankeny shared pitching duties, combining to strike out five and walk 10.
LITTLE LEAGUE
Buff’s 6, Punxsutawney A’s — Buff’s notched an interleague win as Sawyer Lewis struck out 12 in 5 2/3 innings before Caleb London got the final out to secure a combined no-hitter. Lewis walked three while London walked one. Conner Wykoff had two hits while Aiden Rafferty doubled three times and drove in two runs.
Elite 6, Punxsutawney Nationals 2 — Against Punxsutawney, Parker Means, Greyson Lewis and Sawyer Smith combined to throw a three-hitter with six strikeouts and four walks. Porter Hetrick doubled and singled and scored two runs. Jonah Masters had three runs batted in.
