Vermillion, Freeman-Canistota-Marion and Platte-Geddes-Dakota Christian-White Lake will host in super regional play as the South Dakota High School Baseball Association Class B playoffs were announced on Saturday.
Vermillion is the one seed in the South Super Regional, and will host play on May 19 at Prentis Park. Vermillion faces Scotland-Menno at 3 p.m., followed by fourth-seeded Bon Homme against Parkston-Ethan at 5 p.m. The site final is set for 7 p.m.
FCM is the second seed, and will face Canton in the 3 p.m. game on May 19 in Freeman. Third-seeded Dakota Valley will face Beresford Area at 5 p.m., with the site final to follow at 7 p.m.
PGDCWL is the top seed in the West Super Regional, and will host play on May 20 in Platte. The Honkers will face Chamberlain-Kimball-Lyman in the 2 p.m. game, followed by fourth-seeded Rapid City Christian against St. Thomas More at 4 p.m. The site final is set for 6 p.m.
The eight site winners will advance to state, May 25-26 at Bob Sheldon Field in Brookings.
