GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Palisade Bulldogs swept through the regional rounds of the 4A state baseball playoffs, winning two games to advance to the final eight for the third consecutive year.
The top-seeded Bulldogs defeated Adams City 9-0 in their opening game. Will Seriani and Hunter Howard each hit home runs in the win
In the region championship game against Widefield, Palisade fell behind 4-0 early. Dylon Larson hit a three-run home run in the first inning with two runners on base to tie the game at 4-4.
Marshall Hickerson and Hunter Howard also hit home runs as Palisade scored 15 runs to win by run rule and advance to the state quarterfinals.
Delta hosted its regional tournament and defeated Valley 13-3 in the first round. The Panthers then beat league rival Coal Ridge 9-0 to advance to the next round. Delta had defeated the Titans twice during the regular season
