The Boston Red Sox rank 24th in OBP against right-handed pitching and 28th in the past month. They shouldn’t be too much of a challenge for Lugo, and he has a rested bullpen behind him.
Sonny Gray will have a more difficult time slowing down the Kansas City Royals. Their offense is electric at home — especially the likes of Bobby Witt Jr. and Maikel Garcia — ranking third in OBP and second in wOBA vs. righties.
