PHOENIX — The Giants announced that right fielder Jung Hoo Lee exited Monday’s game against the Diamondbacks due to back spasms.

Additionally, shortstop Willy Adames also exited the game due to an apparent injury, but the team has yet to provide an update.

Lee, batting leadoff, went 1-for-2 with a single against the Diamondbacks’ Zac Gallen before exiting the ballgame.

Outfielder Will Brennan, who was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, replaced Lee before the bottom of the fourth inning.

Adames, who hit his fourth homer in the second inning, committed a fielding error in the bottom of the fifth and could be seen shaking his hand following the error.

Rookie Jesús Rodríguez pinch-hit for Adames in the top of the sixth, then stayed in the game and played left field. Casey Schmitt, who was making his first career start in left field, moved to shortstop.
