A 7-6 loss doesn’t seem like a horrible one at first glance, but the way in which the Texas Rangers fell to the Colorado Rockies on Monday night was certainly frustrating.
Texas will look to bounce back from that frustrating defeat in game two of their series in Colorado on Tuesday night.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:40 PM CST, with fans being able to catch all of the action on Rangers Sports Network and on 105.3 The Fan on the radio side of things.
Kumar Rocker is set to take the mound for the Rangers. The big righty enters play with a 1-4 record and a 4.34 ERA on the season.
In his last start, Rocker battled through five innings, allowing four walks, but managed to get through five scoreless innings.
The Rangers will need Rocker to give them some length after MacKenzie Gore went just one inning in Monday night’s game, exiting with lat tightness.
After Monday night and then the game on the last homestand, in which Nathan Eovaldi was scratched, the Rangers have had a pair of unplanned bullpen games just within the last week.

Rocker certainly hasn’t made his name in the big leagues for going deep in starts, but any sort of length will certainly be very welcomed.
Once again, the matchup will be an unfamiliar one for Rocker and the opposing hitters as he has never faced any hitter on the Rockies’ roster at the big-league level.
In fact, Rocker is set to face Colorado for the first time in his young big-league career. It’ll be interesting to see how Rocker’s stuff plays at the always tricky Coors Field.
The Rangers’ offense will be taking on Rockies’ left-hander Sammy Peralta, who will make his first appearance of the season.

Josh Jung is the only Ranger to have ever taken an at-bat against Peralta, so it will be an unfamiliar matchup on the offensive side as well.
It’ll certainly be worth watching to see how Justin Foscue will follow up a night in which he went 3-for-3 with a home run and two doubles.
Foscue has hit left-handed pitching especially well this season and has certinally made the most of the opportunities he has been given thus far in 2026.
The Rangers will no doubt be acceptant to any offense they can find as they look to build momentum and put together a stretch of hot play.
