George Springer Crushes Two HRs in Win over Athletics

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer starred in the team’s 8-7 win over the Athletics on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with two solo home runs. He added a walk and an additional run scored. Springer’s homers, both of which came against right-hander Gunnar Hoglund, traveled a combined 850 feet of distance. While Springer had a rough month of May with just 18 hits in 86 at-bats, the four-time All-Star has still enjoyed a nice bounce-back year after a subpar 2024. Springer is off to a .257/.374/.480 start with eight homers, 23 RBI, seven steals, and a career-high 14.9% walk rate over 208 plate appearances.
