LOS ANGELES, CA—The Los Angeles Dodgers returned home after a successful 7-2 road trip, which saw them sweep the Los Angeles Angels and win back-to-back series against the San Digeio Padres and the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers.
Now, on Memorial Day, the team will kick up another NL West rivalry series with the last-place Colorado Rockies, looking for better results when the two split a four-game series earlier this year.
The Dodgers are red-hot winners of eight of their last ten games, pushing their lead in the NL West to 1.5 games over the equally talented Padres.
Still, entering today, the Dodgers have the second-best record in the NL, and the third-best in the Majors behind the Atlanta Braves and the surprising Tampa Bay Rays.
Now Los Angeles will look to keep the bats rolling with the Rockies in town before welcoming the defending Philadelphia Phillies, who’ve been trying to turn their season around under former Skipper Don Mattingly.

The Dodgers enter the series with their own extensive injury concerns. 3B Max Muncy remains day to day after being hit on the right wrist on May 22nd; X-rays were negative, but he was held out on May 23rd and May 24th as swelling subsides, with a possible return as soon as May 25th.
Reinforcements are coming, though, as INF/OF Kiké Hernández is set to return from left elbow surgery and rejoin the lineup on May 25th. INF/OF Tommy Edman continues progressing from right ankle surgery, taking live at-bats in Arizona ahead of a potential rehab assignment in June.
The rotation and bullpen remain heavily impacted. LHP Blake Snell underwent a NanoNeedle Scope procedure on May 19th to remove loose bodies from his elbow and is eyeing a July return.
RHP Tyler Glasnow (lower back spasms) has been shut down from throwing and may not return until June, while RHP Brusdar Graterol’s recovery has stalled after a lower-back setback, leaving his timeline unclear. RHP Brock Stewart (left foot bone spur) has resumed throwing and could return in early June.
Long-term injuries continue to pile up. RHP Ben Casparius, RHP Gavin Stone, RHP Landon Knack, RHP Bobby Miller, RHP Jake Cousins, and RHP Evan Phillips are all working through extended rehabs—most projected for 2026 or the second half of the season.
RHP Edwin DÃaz (loose bodies in right elbow) isn’t expected back until later in 2026, though he hopes to begin playing catch a couple of weeks after stitch removal. LHP Jack Dreyer (left shoulder discomfort) is expected to miss only slightly more than the minimum after inflammation—not structural damage—was confirmed on May 17th.

The Rockies enter their series with the Dodgers, dealing with several key injuries. LHP José Quintana is day-to-day after leaving his May 24th start with left elbow discomfort and will undergo an MRI in Denver.
In the rotation, RHP Ryan Feltner (right ulnar nerve inflammation) is targeting a late-May return after his second rehab outing on May 24th for Triple-A Albuquerque, while RHP Chase Dollander (right elbow sprain) has been shut down from throwing for 2–3 weeks after exiting his May 14th start early.
RHP Victor Vodnik hit the IL on May 20th with right ulnar nerve inflammation, and RHP Jeff Criswell continued his recovery from a torn elbow ligament with another rehab appearance on May 19th.
RHP Jimmy Herget (shoulder impingement) is trending toward a June return after his second throwing session on May 19th, and RHP McCade Brown has resumed throwing after a recent elbow flare-up delayed his recovery.
Position-player injuries remain notable. IF/OF Willi Castro is day-to-day with low back tightness after missing his second straight game on May 24th.
At Single-A, top prospect SS Ethan Holliday has been out since May 20th with a left foot injury still under evaluation. In the outfield, Mickey Moniak (ankle tendinitis) landed on the IL on May 22nd and is expected back in early June, while CF Brenton Doyle (oblique contusion) was placed on the IL on May 21st—retroactive to May 20th—and is projected to return around May 30th.
