The Los Angeles Dodgers kept utility man Kiké Hernandez in their lineup for the second game of a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies
Kiké Hernandez came off of the injured list ahead of Monday’s game and got his first start of the season, going 2-for-2 with an RBI double. He filled in for Max Muncy, who hasn’t played since Friday after he got hit in the wrist with a 96 mph sinker. Muncy appears to be on the right track to returning, though, as he played catch on the field before the first game of the series.
Kiké Hernandez’s double scored the Dodgers’ only run for the first six innings before they broke out for four runs in the seventh to secure their win.

Left-hander Eric Lauer will make his debut for the Dodgers, nine days after arriving in Los Angeles. The Dodgers traded for Lauer after the Toronto Blue Jays designated him for assignment following a rough start to the year.
He had a 6.69 ERA with Toronto, striking out 26 strikeouts through 36.1 innings pitched. The Dodgers brought in Lauer to help fill in for Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell, both of whom landed on the injured list shortly before his arrival.

As always, Shohei Ohtani will serve as the Dodgers’ designated hitter and lead off for the hosts on Tuesday. Center fielder Andy Pages moves up to the No. 2 spot after a 2-for-4 night in the series opener, and first baseman Freddie Freeman will follow him, keeping the No. 3 spot.
Shortstop Mookie Betts moves down to bat cleanup, and right fielder Kyle Tucker will bat sixth for the Dodgers. Left fielder Teoscar Hernández follows him and will bat sixth, while catcher Will Smith fills the No. 7 spot. Second baseman Miguel Rojas bats eighth, and Kiké Hernandez will bat ninth and look to turn over the lineup as he did Monday.

The southpaw is yet to appear against the Dodgers, but has allowed six or more runs in three of his last four outings—something the Dodgers will look to take advantage of as they look for a fourth consecutive series win.
