OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nebraska’s baseball and softball teams return to the national stage in the coming days. The softball team left for the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City this morning, while the baseball team prepares for the regionals round on Friday.
The last time the softball team made the Women’s College World Series was in 2013. The last time the baseball team made their run at the College World Series was 2005.
Fans prepare for postseason
Lawlor’s Customs began printing shirts the moment they learned the softball team was heading to the Women’s College World Series. The crew works late hours to get all the printing done.
“As soon as they won, our team gets into full gear ready to print. We got the orders in this morning and printed these out this afternoon, a couple of hundred shirts. Our team comes in and there’s a tight turnaround to get jobs done,” said Andy Potter of Lawlor’s Custom.
Lawlor’s is eager to print more shirts with however the games go.
Tickets are hard to come by. The baseball regional is already sold out. A number of fans will be in Oklahoma City, and many others will be in Lincoln.
