Road to Omaha: Super Regional matchups set for the NCAA baseball tournament

The 16 teams are set for the super regionals of the NCAA baseball tournament on the Road to Omaha.

It’s a historic field, with two four-seeds reaching the round of 16 for the first time. The best-of-three super regionals start Friday and Saturday.

The eight matchups are No. 3 Georgia vs. No. 14 Mississippi State, No. 4 Auburn vs. Ole Miss, No. 5 North Carolina vs. USC, No. 6 Texas vs. No. 11 Oregon, No. 7 Alabama vs. St. John’s, No. 15 Kansas vs. Oklahoma, No. 16 West Virginia vs. Cal Poly, and Troy vs. Little Rock.

The eight winners will advance to Omaha for the College World Series, which will start on June 12, with the best-of-three finals on June 20 to 22.
