Bolton baseball eliminated from state tournament as they fall in nail-biter to Duanesburg, 1-0

The Bolton High School baseball team fell to Duanesburg, 1-0, in the NYSPHSAA Class D regional championship.The game would go scoreless for six innings until the top of seventh when a wild pitch from Bolton would make way for Duanesburg’s Jacob Reese to steal from second to third, and then a wild throw from the Bolton catcher would allow Reese to hightail it home as he crossed home plate to give Duanesburg a 1-0 lead. Bolton would have a chance to comeback as Jacob French sent one to center field and William Hens would decide to slide into third but would be tagged out. Duanesburg’s Ayden Fall would strike out a batter for the final out and send the Eagles to the state semifinal.
