The Los Angeles Angels are calling up No. 7 prospect Denzer Guzman, per The Orange County Register’s Jeff Fletcher.
I can confirm that the Angels are calling up infielder Denzer Guzman tomorrow, as @TaylorBlakeWard reported.
He was hitting .336 with 12 HRs and a .974 OPs at AAA.

Guzman, 22, last came up to the majors at the end of the 2025 season, playing 13 games for the Angels at shortstop. He had two homers and three RBIs during that stretch, and posted a .566 OPS. The biggest worry surrounding Guzman was his strikeout rate, as he got his ticket punched 22 times in MLB.
This season has been completely different for Guzman, though, as he has been one of the best hitters anywhere in MiLB over the past month or so.
Entering May, Guzman had a .747 OPS with four homers. Throughout that month, though, Guzman hit six homers and drove in 31 runs, batting .382 in the process. He posted a 1.102 OPS during that time, and improved his OPS on the season to .927.
It has only improved since then, as Guzman is 10-for-21 in June so far with two triples, two homers and seven RBIs.

Guzman is naturally a shortstop, so he likely won’t be playing at his primary position due to the presence of Zach Neto.
Their other infield positions, though, are wide open. Third base is the most likely place for Guzman to land, at least for the time being, as regular third baseman Yoan Moncada is on the injured list and his replacements—Donovan Walton and Nick Madrigal—have been substandard so far.
He could also play second base if needed, but Oswald Peraza, Adam Frazier and Vaughn Grissom can all play that position as well.
Guzman certainly has the bat to warrant his spot in the lineup as a starter, and will hope to make an impact on a struggling Halos ball club.
The Angels have lost four of their six games this month, and have a difficult stretch ahead of them. Their next series comes against a hot Astros team, and begins Monday at 6:38 p.m. PT. The Halos will have Grayson Rodriguez on the mound for the series opener, and will face off against Spencer Arrighetti.
