The Guardians found a way to beat the Angels today and win the weekend series, 4-2

This will be an abbreviated column today as my time is limited but here are some takeaways:

-Williams stayed away from heavy four-seam usage, located his breaking ball well and had his best start of the season. The only runs he surrendered were while Gaddis was pitching and because of a literal hole tearing open in Gabriel Arias’s glove.

-Nolan Jones seems to have broken out of his early season funk. Hallelujah!

-Jose Ramirez hit his 11th homer of the season. Ron Washington should have intentionally walked him every time.

-Emmanuel Clase is back and instead of bad he is BAAAD.

Go Guardians. Bring on the Yankees!
