This week, the North Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association held its annual all-star game and Rockwall ISD was well-represented.
One player from the Rockwall Yellowjackets and two from the Heath Hawks were selected to participate in the contest.
All three – Dylan Cheek of Rockwall, Mick Randle of Heath and Alex Cooley of Heath – contributed to successful seasons for their respective teams with the Hawks securing another postseason berth and the Yellowjackets making a historic run to the state tournament for the first time in 21 years.
The trio will be continuing their baseball careers at the college level with Cheek taking his talents to the University of Arkansas while Cooley will be representing McLennan Community College and Randle will be heading to Texas Wesleyan University.
