Originally from Chicago, Zoe brings four years of experience to Austin. After double-majoring in journalism and history with a Spanish minor at the University of Colorado and earning a master’s degree from Northwestern, she began working in Petersburg, Va. in May 2021. As the sports/education reporter for The Progress-Index, she won the VPA’s Best Sports Column Writing award and was named the Best of Gannett in Tier IV Investigative Reporting. In October 2023, she became the digital news producer for the Times-Picayune. She was recently named an APSE fellow and is a member of NABJ.
