The Braves are in the midst of their first big slump of the season, and no big deal–they just have to try and break out of it against one of the best pitchers in the game.

The last time “The Miz” took the mound, he was masterful, tossing a Maddux against the Phillies last Friday . That means a complete game shutout in under 100 pitches. Misiorowski allowed just one hit and tallied 15 strikeouts.

Atlanta understands their chances against the young ace may be few and far between, so it’s important to capitalize if and when runners get on base.

Manager Walt Weiss explained, “It’s a unique look. It’s big time extension with big time velocity, so the ball is on you. He throws strikes, so you’ve got to be aggressive. You’ve got to be ready to fire. He’s a tough guy to have two strikes on you, cause this guy punches people out. When you get something in the middle of the zone, you’ve got to do something with it.”

The Braves better be prepared to see that 100+ mph four-seam fastball. Misiorowski throws it 63% of the time. Opposing batters this year are hitting .165 against it.

First pitch at Truist Park in this series opener between Atlanta and Milwaukee is slated for 7:15 p.m.
