“Obviously there’s going to a little bit of a period of adjustment for (Raleigh),” Mariners manager Dan Wilson said in a pregame interview Saturday. “But I think the three walks last night — I think he showed some pretty good patience. I was encouraged by those. We talk about not trying to do too much and go out of the zone and chase. Cal was pretty disciplined in being able to work those walks and get us on base. Obviously, it’s continuing to come and I think the more at-bats he gets, the more pitches he sees, the closer he’s getting. From that standpoint, I think it was really a positive night for him.”
