AKRON, Ohio – The Altoona Curve bullpen covered all 10 innings in a 3-1 win over the Akron RubberDucks Saturday night at 7 17 Credit Union Park.
Brandon Neeck started the bullpen game for the Curve and struck out three in two innings. Akron plated the game’s first run on an RBI single from Cameron Barstad. Alessandro Ercolani followed with 2 1/3 scoreless frames in which he struck out four batters and walked four. Jaycob Deese set down all eight hitters faced with a pair of strikeouts. Deese combined with Landon Tomkins to retire 14 straight hitters to send the game to extra innings.
