Healdsburg Prune Packers (3-1 Pacific Empire League, 11-2 overall)
The Packers bounced back from their first PEL loss last week with four straight victories heading into a battle for first place Tuesday night with the visiting Lincoln Potters.
The Potters are 19-1 overall this summer and currently top the PEL standings at 4-1, with the Packers right behind.
The Packers fell 5-3 to the West Coast Kings last Tuesday in PEL action but rebounded with big wins over Marysville, the Stone Cutters and the West Coast Kings before edging out the California Tigers 4-3 on Sunday.
In the most recent victory, RBIs from JC Osorio-Agard (San Jose State), Jake McCoy (San Jose State), Cade Campbell (Cal) and Dane Morrow (Michigan) over the first two innings put Healdsburg in control early before the Tigers whittled down the lead late. EJ McGraw (San Jose State) and Mason Lerma (UC Davis) slammed the door shut with four combined shutout innings to close out the win.
Osorio-Agard also homered in each of their three wins prior and currently leads the team in batting (.409), home runs (four) and RBIs (20).
Also of note, Chandler Day (Tennessee) and Cooper Rummel (Texas) combined for a four-hit shutout in the 13-0 win over Marysville, six pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts and four hits allowed in the 13-1 win over the Stone Cutters and Jesse Gutierrez (San Jose State) pitched four no-hit innings with four strikeout and a walk in the 9-2 win over the West Coast Kings.
Healdsburg will hit the road for a three-game series at Medford this weekend.

Sonoma Stompers (8-8 California Collegiate League-North, 12-9 overall)
The Stompers are hanging around in the CCL-North and moved back to .500 in league play with a solid string of games last week.
Sonoma currently sits in fourth place in the North and is 5-5 over its last 10 games. After being swept by the first-place San Luis Obispo Blues last week, the Stompers won three of their final four games to build some momentum heading into an important stretch.
The sweep to the Blues did feature a competitive final game that wasn’t decided until the 11th inning. The Blues tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the eighth and then again at 2-2 in the 10th after Sonoma had taken a brief lead. The Blues eventually won on a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th. Taber Fast (Washington State), Wes Harwell (San Francisco) and Luke Zmolik (Youngstown State) held the Blues to just one hit over the first six innings.
The Stompers came back with wins in their next two games, beating the San Francisco Seagulls 8-5 and the Menlo Park Legends 11-7. In the win over the Seagulls, Tino Vasell (San Francisco) hit a grand slam in the first inning and the Stompers scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to break a 5-5 tie.
In the win over the Legends, Misael Uriepero (Youngstown State), Wesley Bass (Georgia State) and Angel Garcia (Coppin State) each drove in two runs and the Stompers scored five unanswered runs late for the win.
The Stompers then fell 3-2 to the Menlo Park Legends on Saturday but closed out the week with a 5-2 win over the Alameda Stompers on Sunday. Uriepero homered with three RBIs in a three-hit game while Zmolik and Ken Blankenship (Sacramento City) held Alameda to two hits and a run over the first six innings.
