The wife of a Toronto Blue Jays player is one step closer to welcoming her first child! Pitcher Brendon Little‘s significant other, Emily, has shared an inside glimpse into her recent baby shower, which she celebrated alongside other wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of the team’s players.
She recently took to social media to share a few photos from the intimate event. On Instagram, she posted four pictures, including one of herself posing in a white striped dress and a close-up of a table with cookies decorated with pink icing, some of which were decorated with the family’s name. She also showed off a tall white cake that had intricate floral icing decorations.
“I’m so thankful for the group of women baseball brought me,” she penned in the caption to her post. “Thank you for celebrating baby girl and teaching me how to be a mom. Love you guys so much.”
Fellow baseball WAGs and others showed their appreciation in the comments section of the post.
“Beautiful mama,” Kara Bieber, the wife of Blue Jays pitcher Shane Bieber, penned with a white heart emoji.
“Loved celebrating you and baby Lit’,” added Marissa Hoffman, the wife of Blue Jays pitcher Jeff Hoffman.
“So much fun celebrating you,” Christen Dye, the girlfriend of Blue Jays pitcher Dylan Cease, shared with red heart emojis. “Loved seeing you.”
“The most beautiful mommy!” wrote Brook Varsho, the wife of Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho, to which Emily added: “I learn from the best.”
“Absolutely positively glowing,” someone else mentioned.
On Feb. 13, Brendon and Emily Little took to Instagram with a joint post announcing their baby news. The photos featured the couple posing near the water with a strip of ultrasound snapshots.
“Little family grows to three this August,” the caption of their post read, along with a white heart emoji.
The couple’s post saw congratulatory messages from their circle.
“OMG, so happy for you,” wrote Taylor Frick, who’s engaged to pitcher Trey Yesavage.
“So happy for you guys!” said Mason Fluharty’s wife, Clair. “[You’re] gonna make the best parents.”
“Oh my goodness! This made me tear up. So happy for you guys,” added Faith Reilly, who’s dating former Jays player Joey Loperfido.
Brendon and Emily Little have been together since 2015. They got engaged in 2021 when Brendon popped the question at Riparian Reserve at Water Ranch in Arizona, and eventually married in January 2023.
Emily, who is a fitness coach, has been keeping her social media followers updated on her pregnancy. In February, she opened up about her first trimester and shared photos of her life in recent weeks.
Her “first trimester dump” post included a mirror selfie, a Clearblue pregnancy test that confirmed she was expecting, a snapshot from the couple’s first ultrasound appointment and a picture of the couple’s dog, Murphy.
