Arkansas is back atop the rankings after sweeping Texas, the previous No. 1 team, by a combined score of 28-9 in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks are still two games behind the Longhorns in the SEC, but it’s hard to ignore such an emphatic sweep — even if it was at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Florida State is up to No. 3 after taking a series from Clemson in Tallahassee. NC State tumbled seven spots, down to No. 11, after an 0-3 week that included a midweek loss to UNCW and two weekend losses to Miami.
Vanderbilt is back in the top 10 after rallying to beat Alabama 9-7 in Nashville in the deciding Game 3. Tennessee dropped to No. 10 after losing a series to Auburn, the Vols’ third straight series loss at home. Vanderbilt travels to Knoxville this weekend.
TCU dropped out after losing a series at Arizona. The Horned Frogs were replaced by Miami, which has won 10 straight ACC games after a 2-7 start in the league.
