THEY HIT ON A NATIONAL HOLIDAY IN VENEZUELA. SO MANY PEOPLE WERE AT HOME, BUILDINGS REDUCED TO RUBBLE. YOU SEE IN THE VIDEO THERE. NOW, RESCUERS CLIMBING OVER SOME OF THOSE BUILDINGS TO FIND ANY SURVIVORS. ACTING PRESIDENT DELCY RODRIGUEZ DECLARING A STATE OF EMERGENCY, SAYING THE AIRPORT IN CARACAS WAS CLOSED. THERE ARE NO TRAINS IN SCHOOL, HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR SEVERAL DAYS NOW. PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEIR LOVED ONES, BUT CELL PHONE AND INTERNET SERVICE THAT’S ALSO BEEN KNOCKED OUT. The Cincinnati Reds expressed their support for the victims in Venezuela after two devastating earthquakes hit the country on Wednesday.At least 164 people have died and 971 more have been injured in the earthquakes, which left widespread destruction.The Reds, who have deep roots in Venezuela and current players from the country, shared a statement of support for the region.“Our hearts are with everyone affected by the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, including our scouts, coaches, players, staff members and their families who call Venezuela home or have loved ones in the affected areas,” the Reds said in a statement.The Reds said they have reached out to Major League Baseball and other teams joining relief efforts for the victims.
