Daulton Varsho has a big night at the dish!

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Daulton Varsho draws a favorable matchup against Texas Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, and his power profile makes Over 1.5 total bases my favorite play for today’s matchup.
Read on for my Blue Jays vs. Rangers predictions and MLB picks for this Friday, June 26 matchup.
Rangers vs Blue Jays predictions
Rangers vs Blue Jays best bet: Daulton Varsho Over 1.5 total bases (+135)
Daulton Varsho is swinging a hot bat with seven hits and 15 total bases over his four games since returning from injury, eclipsing the 1.5 total bases three times.
In addition to his hot bat, he profiles well against Texas Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi, whose splitter usage aligns with the Toronto Blue Jays outfielder’s strengths.
The Jays left-hitting outfielder owns a .400 batting average, .600 slugging percentage, and a 62.5% hard-hit rate against Eovaldi’s primary pitch this season. His 60% air-ball rate also gives him extra-base upside against a pitcher who can be vulnerable when hitters elevate the baseball.
Eovaldi relies heavily on his splitter to generate swings and misses, but Varsho owns a strong 69% chase-contact rate, allowing him to spoil pitches outside the zone and put more balls in play.
With the matchup favoring his contact profile and recent power, I’d play Varsho Over 1.5 total bases to +120.
COVERS INTEL: Eovaldi has been noticeably less effective against left-handed hitters this season, with opponents posting a .767 OPS compared to .688 by right-handed hitters.

Rangers vs Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)
Kazuma Okamoto has a hit in six of his last seven games and profiles well against Eovaldi’s splitter, owning a .333 average against the pitch this season with a 25% barrel rate. He’s eclipsed his 1.5 base total in 12 of his 19 outings this month.
I’ll also add Clement Over 0.5 hits tonight. He attacked the splitter well this year and has one of the highest chase-contact rates in baseball, which profiles well against Eovaldi’s 95th percentile chase rate.

Rangers vs Blue Jays home run pick: Kazuma Okamoto (+270)
We’ll continue to back Okamoto tonight in a solid matchup against Eovaldi’s pitching profile.
Eovaldi has allowed 17 home runs this season while ranking in the 45th percentile in hard-hit rate allowed. Combined with Okamoto’s team-leading 18 home runs and 50% hard-hit rate, he remains Toronto’s best candidate to leave the yard.
