WE SAW THE FANS, WE SAW THE TOWELS, WE SAW THE BIG HATS KEEP THE FACE COVERED. SO EVERYTHING TO TRY AND BEAT THE HEAT ON THIS HOT JULY DAY THREE. COMPLIMENTARY ICE. SELECT ONE COMPLIMENTARY ICE. ONE WAY THE ORIOLES HELPED O’S FANS STAY COOL ON THIS ORANGE WEDNESDAY. STAY HYDRATED. STAY COOL. WE’RE STAYING COOL BY GETTING FREE ICE. THAT’S ONE THING. AND THE OTHER THING IS WE’RE GOING IN AND OUT OF THE STORES. THAT’S A GOOD THING. BUT THE BAD THING IS WHEN YOU GO INTO STORES, YOU GOT TO BUY SOMETHING. SO IT’S COSTING YOU MORE TO STAY COOL THAN IT IS TO STAY HOT. WHETHER IT WAS GOING IN AND OUT OF THE AIR CONDITIONED STORES OR STANDING BY THE MISTING STATIONS, WE’RE STAYING COOL BY WATER, WATER AND THE MISSING STATION. MANY FANS CARRYING AROUND FANS OF THEIR OWN. TELL ME HOW YOU’RE STAYING COOL KHERSON I GO TO THE BIRD BATH AND I GOT THESE FANS. HOW ARE YOU STAYING? COOL. I BARELY AM JUST WITH THIS FAN ALONE. IT’S NOT ENOUGH. IT’S TOO HOT OUT HERE. MEANWHILE, OTHERS SAY THEY’RE RELYING ON SOME H2O IN FRONT OF THE MISS, RIGHT? YES. THIS IS. WHAT IF WE COULD BRING THIS OUT TO MY SEAT? I’M GOOD. JUST DRINK WATER. DRINK AS MUCH WATER AS YOU CAN. STAY HYDRATED. I’M GONNA DRINK A LOT OF WATER. I’M GONNA STAY HYDRATED AND SOME. CHOOSING OTHER ICE COLD BEVERAGES TO ENJOY. ON THIS DAY, ONE OF THE EXPECTED EXTENDED HEAT WAVE BIG HAT, LOTS OF WATER AND A BEER. I’M JUST LISTENING A BEER. WHAT IS IT? PROBABLY SOME BEER. As temperatures climb for the holiday weekend, many are taking precautions to enjoy outdoor events, like Wednesday’s mid-day Baltimore Orioles game at Camden Yards.One way the Orioles helped O’s stay cool during the Orange Wednesday game? Complimentary ice cups.”We’re staying cool by getting the free ice…the other thing is, we’re going in and out of the stores,” one fan told WBAL-TV 11 News. “That’s the good thing, but the bad thing is, when you go (inside) the stores, you got to buy something, so it’s costing you more to stay cool than it is to stay hot.”Others were pitching the hot weather away by standing by water misting stations or bringing fans of their own.”I go to the bird bath and I got these fans,” an O’s fan told WBAL-TV 11 News.”I barely am, just with this fan alone it’s not enough,” another fan said. “It’s too hot out here”Meanwhile, others say they’re relying on some staying hydrated during the game.”Just drink water, drink as much water as you can,” an Orioles fan shared. “Stay hydrated, that’s the key”Some choose other ice cold beverages to enjoy the baseball game during the heatwave affecting the Baltimore area.”Big hat, lots of water, and a beer,” a fan shared with WBAL-TV 11 News.
